Oktagon MMA has confirmed four UK shows for 2024.
Newcastle’s Utilita Arena will host Oktagon 52 on January 27, 2024, with the promotion also announcing a Birmingham show, with the date to be announced early next year.
After a successful first UK show in Manchester this past weekend, the promotion has wasted no time executing their ambitious and extensive plans for the UK and Irish market, with this latest announcement another step towards becoming the biggest domestic MMA promotion in the UK and Ireland.
“We are so pleased to be bringing Oktagon MMA to the UK," Pavol Neruda, co-founder of Oktagon MMA, said.
"This is testament to the incredible work of the whole Oktagon MMA family, from our staff to our amazing fighters, and we know that we will offer UK fans something different from what they are used to.
“Newcastle is a beautiful city and the Utilita is a fantastic venue. We want to grow the sport in the North of England, and we cannot wait to bring Oktagon MMA to the Geordies.
“Newcastle will be the first of four Oktagon MMA shows in the UK in 2024. The timeline will be announced in due course, but we can confirm that Birmingham will follow Newcastle.”
Oktagon MMA has proven itself on the European MMA scene, with high-level production value combined with competitive and engaging match-making helping them become one of the leading MMA promotions in the world. They recently made the five-promotion shortlist for MMA promotion of the year.
