Light heavyweight fighter Ozzy Diaz might not be a name casual MMA fans know, but they soon will.

Diaz (9-2) is making his UFC debut when he takes on China's Zhang Mingyang (17-6) on the main card of the next UFC Fight Night.

Diaz steps into a big match-up when he accepts a fight on the big show, in enemy territory, and that shows the kind of confidence that Diaz possesses. The former LFA light heavyweight champion has just two losses in his career and has proven to bounce back stronger from each.

UFC fans might remember Diaz was on the losing end of Joe Pyfer's highlight reel Dana White Contender Series knockout but Diaz didn't let that disappointment stop him from his dreams of becoming a UFC fighter. After a two-year regroup, Diaz earned two back-to-back wins, including a flying knee TKO finish of Chuck Campbell in March.

His opponent is in a similar spot. He made his way to the big show via Road to the UFC but will be making his official debut on Saturday. One thing that Diaz has on his side is revenge. The last time Diaz appeared under the UFC banner he was knocked out, he'll likely be extra motivated to make up for that appearance and show the skills we know he has.
