Paul Hughes has revealed hopes for a Belfast homecoming bout if he can defeat A. J. McKee when the pair meet next month.
The duo will fight on the undercard at PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants, beneath a headline bout between Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira.
It marks the first occasion that Hughes will have fought outside of Europe, and pits him against a former Bellator featherweight champion with just one career loss.
But ahead of the clash, the Northern Irishman admits that victory could open up avenues to a major homecoming bout in the city where he has built his reputation.
"A win over AJ puts me in a very good position where I think every option is available to me," Hughes told DAZN . "[It will be] whatever the PFL wants to do with me.
"If they want me to have a homecoming in Belfast, if they want me to be on another huge pay per view match, I'm willing to do whatever they want."
A bout in his hometown, potentially at the SSE Arena, would be the leading dream, but there is another venue Hughes would love to fight in too.
"Number two would be Madison Square Garden," he added. "That's up there for me. If we do another pay-per-view next year and it's at MSG, then sign me up."
