Paul Hughes is raring to go on the global stage after he was added to the bill of PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants next month.
The Northern Irishman will compete for the second time since leaving Cage Wars earlier this year, facing A. J. McKee in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
It will mark another move up the pay-per-view ladder for Hughes, who will feature on a bill headlined by Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira.
Having never fought professionally outside of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland before, the featherweight is ready to show his mettle under the lights.
"This is a big opportunity for me," Hughes told DAZN . "It's a time to showcase my skills on the world stage. It'll be interesting.
"It's going to be a very different environment fighting out in Saudi Arabia, fighting on a pay-per-view. My emotions right now are just excitement."
Having first discovered he would be on the bill two months prior, Hughes has been in camp since then, and admits the difference is impressive from his time in Cage Wars.
"For me, it's just that everything's bigger," he added. "It's a much bigger stage, tougher opponents, a better production. It's just the next step."
