PFL CEO Peter Murray is expecting MMA star Francis Ngannou to make his debut with the promotion later this year.
Ngannou joined the PFL last May after his contract expired with the UFC and is set to be part of the company's pay-per-view "Super Fight" division.
However, Ngannou is yet to fight under the PFL banner and is instead quickly becoming one of the biggest stars in boxing's heavyweight division after making his debut against Tyson Fury in October.
Many did not give the Cameroonian much of a chance when he stepped into the ring with the WBC world heavyweight champion, but Ngannou gave a good account himself and knocked down Fury in the third round despite losing on the judges' scorecards.
Now Ngannou is set to continue his boxing journey with a huge showdown against two-time world champion Anthony Joshua on March 8 in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking to DAZN, Murray revealed that Ngannou's PFL debut will be in 2024 and is confident that the former UFC heavyweight champion can shock the world against Joshua.
"Francis Ngannou is fighting AJ in the ring, and once that concludes, Francis will be getting back into the cage and he will part of our second pay-per-view event," Murray said.
"Once again, I think Francis is going to shock the world in that fight so we’re very supportive of what Francis is doing to elevate combat sports and continue on his journey as the very best in the world and we’re proud of him.
"But we’re also excited about what we will be doing in MMA and that next event will be a PFL PPV super fight with Francis this year."
