Shem Rock's proposed fight for Oktagon 48 has been cancelled after his altercation with Jaroslav Pokorny at yesterday's weigh-in.
The two came to blows at the staredown and Rock aimed a kick at his Czech opponent.
That appears to have injured his opponent sufficiently to cause the bout to be called off, as Oktagon's official X - formerly known as Twitter - account confirmed on Saturday night.
While it was not made clear if Rock will face censure for his behaviour, the MMA franchise said the pair would instead fight on December 29 at Oktagon 51.
"Following examination from a doctor, Jaroslav Pokorný [🇨🇿] will no longer be competing at OKTAGON 48 tonight after the weigh in altercation. We are working to reschedule the fight with Shem Rock [🇮🇪] for OKTAGON 51 on December 29 inside the O2 Arena, Prague," they wrote.
