Heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic will rematch the no. 1 contender Francis Ngannou at UFC 260, with a co-main event between featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and second-ranked fighter Brian Ortega also on the bill.
UFC 260 will take place on 27 March at the UFC Apex at Las Vegas, and will be streamed on ESPN+ with the main card on pay per view.
Heavyweight legend Miocic has the record for the most title defences, and has twice defeated Daniel Cormier, and last fought - and beat - Ngannou in 2018, when he became the first man to halt him.
France’s Ngannou now has a second chance to win the heavyweight belt, and brings a record of 15-3, finishing his opponent in each of his victories.
In the featherweight division, champion Volkanovski is coming off the back of two wins over Max Holloway, and his sole defeat from 23 fights came eight years ago.
Ortega meanwhile will be challenging for a belt for the second time and hopes to inflict Volkanovski’s first UFC defeat.
One man who will not be appearing at UFC 260 is Khabib Nurmagomedov, with UFC president Dana White announcing on Friday that the Russian was ‘100% retired’.
