UFC 264: Conor McGregor aims a kick and a barrage of insults at Dustin Poirier ahead of trilogy fightDAZN
Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier square off at UFC 264 on Saturday night.

Conor McGregor was back to his wild self at the final press conference for UFC 264, which takes place in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

The volatile Irishman renews hostilities with Dustin Poirier this weekend and any chance of a low-key meeting in front of the world’s media were shelved immediately.

McGregor is facing Poirier for the third time with each fighter holding a win heading into the deciding battle.

Their first meeting, back in 2014, was dominated by McGregor, but Poirier grabbed revenge in January of this year when he caused a minor upset by stopping his great rival.

Their feud is finely poised and the fireworks exploded early at the pre-fight presser. As well as aiming a kick at Poirier, McGregor was vicious with his verbal assaults.

“Your wife is your husband, you’re only a little b—h of a thing, a silly little hillbilly,” said an irate McGregor.

“I’m gonna dance on your head. I’m gonna go through his head, put holes in him and take it off his shoulders, that’s the goal.

“He’s done here. This is it for him. This is the end of the road for him. Saturday night he’s getting walked around that octagon like a dog and put to sleep.”

The winner of Saturday’s trilogy meeting is likely to step into another big fight with Brazil’s Charles Oliviera, the current UFC lightweight champion.

Oliviera defeated Michael Chandler in May and will be a keen spectator on Saturday night.

DAZN News will have live updates of the entire UFC 264 card on Saturday, and subscribers in Austria, Germany, Italy and Spain can watch UFC live events on DAZN.
