UFC 304 took place on July 27 in Manchester, England and a new champion was crowned.
After five hard-fought rounds, Belal Muhammad secured a dominant win over the now-former welterweight champion Leon Edwards. Muhammad was only in danger for one of the five rounds and dominated the four others using his superior wrestling skills.
"God first always," he said in the cage after the fight. "This fight is nothing, this fight is for my people in Palestine."
The fight was a rematch of their first fight, which ended in a no-contest after an accidental eye poke. Both fighters were riding massive win streaks and their rematch had been highly anticipated.
In the co-main event, the interim heavyweight title was on the line when Tom Aspinall defended against Curtis Blaydes. Aspinall finished Curtis in just 60 seconds of their fight, also a rematch. Aspinall and Blaydes previously fought in 2022 but that fight ended in just 15 seconds due to a freak injury.
