UFC fan favorite Nick Diaz was expected to make his return to the Octagon at UFC 310 but he's been removed from the card.
Diaz took a lengthy hiatus from fighting and returned at UFC 266 in 2021 but hasn't been seen since. Unfortunately, due to undisclosed reasons, Diaz won't be fighting Vicente Luque as previously thought.
No one knows for sure what's keeping Diaz off the card, but a troubling video has fans wondering if Diaz is okay. So far Diaz hasn't released any statement about the withdrawl.
In his place, the UFC have booked Themba Gorimbo to fight Luque after he called out Dana White asking to be the back-up fighter if something should happen to the match-up.
“I’m no spring chicken. I know Black don’t crack. I look good, but I would like to fight on the 11th of January, start the year with a bang. I would love to fight in December if Nick Diaz and Vicente Luque – if one of them pulls out. I would love to fight one of them," Gorimbo told media after his win over Niko Price.
