Rally TV and DAZN form global distribution partnership.

DAZN, the world’s leading sports entertainment platform, today announces an eight-year partnership with the World Rally Championship (WRC) to distribute Rally TV globally (excluding Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, China, Hong Kong, Japan and United Kingdom) across the DAZN platform, with the first event on 30 May this year.

Available to fans as a standalone package or as an add-on to an existing DAZN subscription, Rally TV on-demand content will also form a part of DAZN’s extensive and growing freemium offer. This deal will help grow the reach, discoverability, and commerciality of Rally TV.

DAZN’s world-leading technology is redefining the way sports content is being consumed, providing a single destination for fans, and creating a more direct relationship for rights holders with their most important stakeholders. With DAZN Rally TV will be available throughout 200 plus markets, across multiple internet-enabled devices and distribution channels, and benefit from DAZN’s marketing expertise and innovative product development. The flexibility and delivery-focused nature of DAZN’s platform enables live and on-demand content to be streamed at scale, while also providing the capability to localise in key markets.

Rally TV is dedicated to delivering every moment of action from the highest echelon of the sport live and on-demand. This includes a 24/7 channel delivering more than 30 weekends of live rallying per year, including every round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), FIA World Rallycross Championship (World RX) and FIA European Rally Championship (ERC).

The live offering is supplemented by programming from the Promoter’s diverse archive, reliving the best moments from each of the championship’s histories as well as onboard from some of rally’s most iconic stages, as well as a selection of on-demand content including highlights, documentaries, and behind the scenes access and analysis. DAZN’s freemium service will see the addition of footage from this vast portfolio.

DAZN is rapidly redefining the way sport is consumed by pioneering over-the-top sports streaming with an offering of multiple premium sports properties including top-division European and women’s football, basketball, motorsport, boxing and combat sports, and the National Football League (NFL).

Available in more than 200 territories globally,  Rally TV will join the likes of NFL Game Pass, PGA Tour Pass and FIBA’s Courtside 1891 as a standalone add-on channel within the DAZN platform. All these channels are available as part of an enhanced and upgraded DAZN subscription or as a standalone service.

Shay Segev, DAZN Group CEO, said: “DAZN’s scalable and best in class technology is ideally suited to creating destinations for sports fans, with our ability to reach millions of users across 200 plus territories, while creating bespoke and localised experiences in core markets. This multi-year partnership with Rally TV will create a global home for their exciting and compelling competitions, helping rally fans better access the sport they are so passionate about, while creating new engagement opportunities for WRC to access potential fans.

“This is the latest in a series of long-term channel deals that sees DAZN innovating and enhancing the way rights holders can increase exposure and develop their sport commercially and digitally.”

“Teaming up with DAZN as a distribution partner offers us the ability to significantly increase the reach of our Rally TV platform,” expressed WRC Promoter Managing Director Jona Siebel. “As Rally TV enters its second year now is the time to take the next step in building the reach of Rally TV and this relationship with DAZN will assist us in achieving that.”
