The 2024 Ring Awards - Oleksandr Usyk dominates huge night in LondonMark Robinson/Matchroom Boxing

The 2024 Ring awards took place in London and the biggest names in boxing were all in attendance as numerous fighters were recognised for their stellar efforts last year.

Dominating several categories, Oleksandr was tipped to do well, and he landed one of the grandest awards as he claimed the Fighter of the Year title.

Usyk was facing tough competition from the likes of Daniel Dubois and Artur Beterbiev, but there will be nobody within the fight community who will begrudge the Ukrainian this award.

As well as being nominated for Fighter of the Year, Usyk was also up for Fight of the Year, his first one with Tyson Fury, and Round of the Year, the ninth session against Fury.

Usyk was able to share the Round award with Fury after beating off serious competition, but he had to miss out on Fight of the Year which went to Raymond Ford and Otabek Kholmatov.

Usyk vs Fury, their undisputed encounter, would take first place in the Event award though.

The Knockout of the Year award went to Daniel Dubois for his vicious fifth round stoppage against Anthony Joshua in front of a sold-out Wembley Stadium

Billy Dib, a former world champion, has endured a tough battle with cancer and the fact he overcame those dark days saw him receive recognition with the Comeback award.

At the end of 2024, Bruno Surace shocked Jaime Munguia with an amazing sixth round knockout and that win allowed him to take the Upset of the Year award.

Moses Itauma enjoyed a brilliant 2024 as he climbed the heavyweight rankings and his end of year win over Demsey McKean made people sit up. Itauma was deservedly handed the Prospect award.

Robert Garcia is no stranger to winning awards and he added the Trainer of the Year title to his collection which means he’s now won it three times.

Joining the previous names on stage was Gabriela Fundora who took Women’s Fighter of the Year thanks to an exciting 2024 where she dominated at flyweight.

In the final category, Don King was rewarded for his services to boxing as he was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
