The 2023 World Sooker Championship is now underway.
Snooker's superstar, Ronnie O'Sullivan, is the reigning champion but missed out on his chance to retain his title - one of snooker's Triple Crown competitions - at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, Yorkshire.
It will be the 47th straight year that the tournament is hosted at what is generally seen as the home of snooker, and there is a fortnight of action to come before the culmination on May 1 with a best-of-35-frames final.
Mark Selby will face Luca Brecel in the final, starting today and concluding on Monday, May 1.
