The Premier League may have only finished a few weeks ago, but attention has already turned to next season and if anyone can stop champions Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola's side made it four titles in a row in 2023-24, pipping Arsenal to the trophy on the last day of the campaign.
However, looking back on Arsenal's season on The Rest is Football podcast, Alan Shearer believes that next season could finally be the Gunners year as they look to bring the title back to North London for the first time in over twenty years.
He said: “They pushed City all the way last season and the title race obviously went right down to the final day.
“They definitely improved from the previous season, Declan Rice helped a lot. I think big things are coming for Arsenal.
“If they can get in two more top-quality [players] and add them to what they’ve already got, I think they could do it next season.”
