Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith has hailed the impact of young Ipswich star Liam Delap and believes he has been one of the most exciting forwards to watch in the Premier League this season.
Delap moved to Portman Road in the summer and has already scored six goals in 12 games for the newly promoted side, leading to speculation he could force his way into full international recognition this season.
Speaking exclusively to DAZN News, thanks to Mega Dice, Smith sang the praises of the 21-year-old and also championed a striker at the other end of his career.
"I was at Ipswich on Sunday, and I love Liam Delap. The way he goes about his work, he's not fearful of anybody, he doesn't respect reputations, he's physical, but technically he's very good as well.
"He's got that enthusiasm for the game. So, in terms of up-and-coming centre-forwards, he's a favourite.
"I didn't think he was going to be able to do it, but playing for Fulham now, he's got that sharpness back, and he's jumping and leaping in the air, challenging for balls. So, his confidence is back, and I think that's really heart-warming to see.
