Kobbie Mainoo has made a superb impact for Manchester United this season and the youngster went even further when impressing for England recently.
Mainoo was a star performer for Gareth Southgate’s side in a recent friendly against Belgium and he didn't look out of place in the 2-2 draw.
With England identified as one the favourites for Euro 2024, places for midfield could be hard to come across with Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham excelling this campaign.
Jordan Henderson will also be hopeful of a spot, but Ally McCoist believes that Mainoo should be in ahead of the former Liverpool skipper who’s now at Ajax.
“I’m not sure Mainoo will start at the Euros, but I’m 100% sure that he should be on the plane,” said McCoist when speaking to Talksport Bet.
“He is ahead of Jordan Henderson in the pecking order for me. Henderson is far from finished, but Mainoo has moved ahead of him.”
