'I take responsibility!' - Ange Postecoglou reacts after Tottenham loss to Ipswich

Ange Postecoglou blames himself for Tottenham's recent run of form after they were stunned by Ipswich Town in a 2-1 defeat on Sunday.

Defeat to the newly promoted Tractor Boys handed the North London club a second straight loss, and a third reverse in five Premier League games.

It left Spurs mired in mid-table, and off the pace of the European race heading into the final international break of the year, with several of their stars on duty.

Speaking afterwards, Postecoglou rued his side's inability to turn their dominant possession into three points, but admitted the buck has to stop with him for their poor form.

"[It is] hugely disappointing," he told BBC Sport. "We started slow and passively. We gave ourselves a mountain to climb.

"[In the] second half, we had chances, but [we] didn’t do enough to win the game. It's just down to me. I’m not getting consistent performances from the players.

"It’s something I need to address. I’m the person in charge so that’s usually the way it goes. I take responsibility. We can’t give ourselves those kind of mountains to climb."

Spurs return to action in late November with a pair of crunch clashes, as they face Manchester City in the Premier League and then Roma in the UEFA Europa League.
