Ray Parlour has explained how Arsenal can win the league this season.
Mikel Arteta’s men fell short against Manchester City last season despite spending much of the campaign at the top of the Premier League table.
While Arsenal have strengthened in the summer transfer window, spending big on players such as Declan Rice and Kai Havertz, doubts remain that they can go one better this season and pip City - and everyone else - to the title.
Speaking to bettingsites.co.uk, he said
“Man City are the big, big favourites still of course. They’re the sort of team that can win 12 games in a row and that takes a lot of stopping, especially with Kevin De Bruyne due to return to the team soon, that’ll make them even stronger.
"They’ve missed him and Erling Haaland certainly has missed him. But Arsenal have a good chance. They’ve got to keep people fit. It’s vital they keep certain players fit like Declan Rice, who’s made a massive impact. William Saliba and Gabriel and their partnership are going to be very important as well.
“But Arsenal need to learn from last season, they came very close, but they need to learn from those games where they dropped points, like against West Ham and Southampton.
"They need to concentrate on every game and come March or April then they need to learn from last season and make sure they get the job done every week. They have to handle the pressure better than they did last season.”
