Arsenal defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 on Wednesday in the second leg of their 2022-23 UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-final, allowing the Londoners to advance to the next round.

The Gunners were on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline last week when the teams met for the first leg at the Allianz Arena, but home field advantage turned out to be exactly that in Wednesday's second leg at Emirates Stadium as Frida Maanum and Stina Blackstenius scored in the 19th and 26th minutes, respectively, to power their side to a 2-0 win on the night (and a 2-1 aggregate victory).

It was no less than the English club deserved, as they limited Bayern to just a single shot on target throughout the match. Meanwhile, Arsenal put on a clinical display in front of 21,307 appreciative fans, getting eight shots on target despite holding only 43 percent possession. The hosts allowed Bayern to keep more of the ball without creating much in the way of danger, while taking full advantage of two early opportunities and seeing out the rest of the match.

With the result, Arsenal are back in the UWCL semis for the first time in 10 years.
