Belgium vs. Canada: Time, TV channel, preview and how to watch FIFA World Cup matchDAZN

The second-ranked team in the world takes on No. 41 as Belgium face Canada on Wednesday.

It's one of the bigger mismatches the 2022 World Cup has to offer, but the Belgians will be wary of overconfidence given Saudi Arabia's massive upset of Argentina a day previous.

Still, the Red Devils will be hugely favoured against a Canadian side returning to the World Cup after a 36-year absence, with only Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies a widely known name among football fans globally.

However, Canada's overall team speed will be seen as an advantage over the Belgians, perhaps the only one the North Americans will wield. The Canadians will look to play compact and hit quickly on the counterattack, while the Belgians can be expected to control the ball for most of the match and utilize their superiority in midfield to overwhelm their inexperienced opponents.

Officially named the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, the Al-Rayyan Stadium is nicknamed as such due to the city in which it stands.

The 50,000-seat venue is actually the second stadium to be built on the same spot, with its predecessor holding less than half the capacity and standing from 2003-2015.

Home to Al-Rayyan SC and Al Kharaitiyat SC of the Qatar Stars League, the stadium opened in 2020 and has since hosted matches in the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup and the FIFA Arab Cup 2021. More recently, the stadium hosted the two intercontinental play-off matches that determined the final two countries (Australia and Costa Rica) to advance to Qatar 2022.
