The Scot will leave the London Stadium at the end of the season.

Brian Deane thinks it is the right time for West Ham and manager David Moyes to part ways.

The London club announced this week that Moyes will be leaving at the end of the season, ending much speculation over the Scottish boss' future.

During his time at the London Stadium the 61-year-old led the Hammers to three European finishes and their first trophy for 40 years when they beat Fiorentina to win the Europe Conference League in 2023.

However, fans have shown unrest with Moyes' style of play, leading to the decision not to offer him a new contract. Deane believes it was the right call but has warned supporters to be careful what they wish for.

"I think when you look at what David Moyes has achieved, three campaigns in Europe, one of them with a trophy, and two seventh-place finishes, I think you would mark that as succes," Deane said exclusively to DAZN thanks to Free Bets

"West Ham have a way of playing and the fans demand it over everything. There is a balance in there. I think David Moyes done a good job, but if you're paying your money and you want to go and you want to be entertained by a certain type of football, then it just shows that over a period of time, that's not what the team has been producing.

"I think perhaps the fans are saying, ‘We want to change, we want more excitement, we want to be on the edge of our seats more’. So, we'll see what they get. I caveat that by saying be careful what you wish for sometimes.

"It's an interesting time at West Ham. Overall, they parted ways on fairly good terms. I think everybody's happy. Perhaps he camed, to a natural en and it's time for somebody else."
