Canada vs. Guadeloupe: Date, kick-off time, stream info and how to watch Concacaf Gold Cup matchCanada Soccer

Canada and Guadeloupe start their 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup tonight at BMO Field in Toronto.

The teams are in Group D with Cuba and Guatemala, with Canada the clear favourites to top the group. The Canadians have rotated their squad heavily from the team that played in the Concacaf Nations League semi-final and final earlier this month, with many of the bigger names unavailable for the Gold Cup.

That means Canada will be without Alphonso Davies, Jonathan David, Stephen Eustaquio, Cyle Larin and other players based in top European leagues, opening up opportunities for new players to state their cases for head coach John Herdman to include them when the full squad is back together in the fall when Nations League starts over again (doubling as qualifiers for next year's Copa America).

In Guadeloupe, Canada well face a tricky opponent filled with players from the various level of French football. While the Canadians are big favourites playing at home even without their most notable players, the visitors will look to catch the home side off guard and steal a point or three on opening night of Group D action.

Here's how you can watch.
