West Ham manager David Moyes said teenage midfielder George Earthy is "awake" after suffering a head injury on Sunday.
Earthy was an 82nd-minute substitute for Michail Antonio in West Ham's 2-0 loss to Fulham at the London Stadium, with the 19-year-old making his Premier League debut.
However, Earthy collided with teammate Edson Alvarez moments after coming on and required on-field treatment. He was taken off the pitch with a neck brace and oxygen mask before medical and training staff placed him in an ambulance.
After the match, Moyes told Sky Sports that Earthy was conscious and will receive further treatment at a local medical facility.
"It's been a head injury, he is awake and on his way to hospital," Moyes said. "His first three or four touches were terrific, really disappointed for the boy. He has been doing ever so well in training. We will all look after him."
