Former Premier League winner Dimitar Berbatov has said that Manchester United have hope ahead of their game at Liverpool.
The Red Devils have endured a tumultuous week; they fell 3-0 to Bournemouth last Saturday before losing to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
The defeat to Bayern saw United crash out of Europe. Add that to a burgeoning injury list, and the fans' angst and Manchester United look like a club in disarray.
Last season, Liverpool beat United 7-0 and Jurgen Klopp's league leaders once again are heavy favourites. However, speaking to Betfair, Dimitar Berbatov feels differently.
Berbatov said, "Of course, there's hope - there is always hope! Especially when it's a derby."
"Even though they have lost the previous two games, United still have to believe they can beat Liverpool on Sunday. It doesn't matter how hard it is. The chance is there.
"It's going to be tough, but United have surprised people before when they've been in bad positions by winning."
