The defensive duo have been promoted from the Young Lions as reward for their promising performances this term.

England have handed maiden senior call-ups to Lewis Hall and Taylor Harwood-Bellis for their UEFA Nations League games with Greece and the Republic of Ireland this month.

The defensive duo, who play for Newcastle United and Southampton respectively, are included in Lee Carsley's 26-man squad for the November international break.

Carsley will take charge of the senior team for the final time before Thomas Tuchel becomes Gareth Southgate's permanent successor in the new year on an 18-month deal.

The inclusion of Hall and Harwood-Bellis sees both men promoted from the Young Lions set-up, and are rewarded for their bright performances so far this season.

Uncapped Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones is also included in a squad that seems minimal turnover from the group picked for October's fixtures.

Saints goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale replaces  Nick Pope, while several players forced to withdraw through injury last month such as Ezri Konsa and Bukayo Saka are retained.
