The striker has not seen much action in Germany.

England striker Ivan Toney has admitted feeling "annoyed" by the lack of playing time he has had at Euro 2024 so far.

The Brentford striker's first involvement in the tournament came with two minutes to play in their last 16 game against Slovakia, with England trailing 1-0 at the time.

Toney played significantly longer than expected, as Jude Bellingham's late goal forced extra time.

During the additional 30 minutes, Toney provided the assist for Harry Kane's winner, and England reached the quarter-finals.

After the match England boss Gareth Southgate said Toney had been "disgusted" at being brought on so late, but the striker says he is willing to play whatever role is required.

Speaking at Wednesday's press conference, Toney said: "It's always going to be tough.

"It's tough for all of us as we play week in, week out for our clubs.

"I have been in this position before and when I get an opportunity I'll take it.

"Yes, I was annoyed, but there was 30 minutes of football to play and you have got to come out of that mood and focus.

"I think you have to be ready and there's more than 11 players needed to win a tournament."

Toney's next chance for game time will come in Saturday's quarter-final against Switzerland, which takes place in Dusseldorf.
