On Saturday, Manchester United saw Fulham snatch victory away with a goal deep into stoppage time of their Premier League clash.
On Wednesday, the Red Devils were on the other side of the equation as they were the ones breaking hearts at the stroke of full-time, claiming a 1-0 victory at Nottingham Forest in the fifth round of the FA Cup thanks to an 89th-minute Casemiro goal.
Needless to say, it feels much better being on the winning end of one of these matches.
“It’s the best time to score at the end," United manager Erik ten Hag told BBC One. "On Saturday we felt a defeat in stoppage time [against Fulham].
"We scored in the right moment. In the second half after five or six minutes we found the game. Then we were continually in their half and took control of the game. Before that we had to make some changes. The routines fell away."
Ten Hag was full of praise for his players after they responded to the weekend's heartbreak with a winning performance on Wednesday. And while the Red Devils boss admitted that his team allowed Forest "to create some chances" in a back-and-forth game at the City Ground, he was ultimately pleased that his team found their way back to the form that he believes is more representative of the club than the weekend's outing.
"This team, what they showed today, that’s great," he said. "They have to show it every game. I’ve seen it the last couple of months, not on Saturday.
"We found the way to win."
