Euro 2024 opens on Friday, June 14, with the Group A opener between hosts Germany and Scotland, as fans get ready for a month-long feast of European football.
The Germans (ranked 16th by FIFA) enter the competition with more hope than expectation from the home support after a difficult period for the national team.
They exited the last World Cup at the Group Stage and endured a difficult period under Hansi Flick before Julian Nagelsmann took over the reins and led the team to some impressive recent friendly wins over France and the Netherlands.
They've been helped by a relatively comfortable group. They will be tested by a Scotland team (ranked 39th) that shone in qualifying and will bring with them their usual guile and determination, as well as Hungary (ranked 26th) and Switzerland (ranked 19th).
Hungary topped their qualifying group and could be a surprise package, while you never know what you'll get from perennial tournament players Switzerland.
