For many, France are the favourites heading into Euro 2024. They begin their campaign in a tough-looking Group D.
Didier Deschamps already has a World Cup win and a Euros final under his belt, but will head to Germany knowing that he has the tools - including Kylian Mbappe - to win another major tournament. France (ranked 2nd by FIFA) will begin their Euros against Austria (ranked 25th) who showed how ruthless they can be in qualifying under former Man United boss Ralf Rangnick.
However, it's the mouth-watering prospect of France vs Netherlands that will be one of the highlights of the group stages. The Dutch (ranked 7th), as always, are among the ones to watch in Germany and the clash will give an early indication of what both teams are made of.
Poland (ranked 28th) finishes off the group, where Robert Lewandowski will lead the line in what's likely his final tournament.
