Everton have won back-to-back games and climbed out of the relegation zone.
The Toffees' resurgence following last month's point deduction continued on Wednesday as they defeated Newcastle United 3-0 at Goodison Park, with all three goals coming in the second half.
It was the kind of performance that a team can build on, and manager Sean Dyche was full of praise for his side after the match.
"I thought we were good from the off. Particularly first half, a strong half against a good side," Dyche told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"There was a lot of good detail in our performance. The missing link that has been obvious is scoring goals and the first half was another headscratcher.
"They had a couple of chances, to be fair, but we had three golden chances. You come in at half-time wondering but second half again was a really solid performance.
"We kept at it and I was really pleased with the mentality and the quality to score the goals."
Dyche was blunt in naming exactly what his team need to do more of in order to continue climbing up the table.
"People ask how we can change it, it's by scoring goals," he said. "We've played better than that here in games and not won. That has been the headscratcher all season."
