Former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann has backed his old side to come away with at least a point when they visit the Etihad Stadium in two weeks.
Following the international break, Liverpool will take on Man City in the first game after the break after a 3-0 win over Brentford this past weekend saw them enter second place and one point behind the defending champions.
City meanwhile entered the international break with a manic 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge, and now all eyes will turn towards this colossal game.
"The fixture is arguably the biggest game in the Premier League as it's between the two most successful sides of the last few seasons," said Hamann when speaking to Boyle Sports who offer the latest Euro 2024 odds.
"We'll also need to see who's available - City might have a few more options than Liverpool, but Liverpool have more players available at the moment."
How players pull up after the break is a deciding factor in this match. Hamann also confirmed that he sees something different in this Liverpool squad, saying, "As I said, there's a spark in this Liverpool side that hasn't been there for the last one or two years. I fancy Liverpool not to get beat."
