Pep Guardiola is "really pleased" with Manchester City's victory in the FA Community Shield on Saturday, which came against rivals Manchester United.
Guardiola gave credit to United after the match, calling the Red Devils "one of the best teams in the world" in transition during his post-match comments to ITV.
However, the most interesting comment to come from City's manager was regarding the Premier League, of which the Sky Blues are attempting to win for the fifth straight season.
Guardiola, not wanting to look too far ahead, preferred to set goals for his side that are a little closer to the present.
"Now we see how the players come back," Guardiola told ITV. "The target now is not to win the Premier League, it is 'OK next game try and win it'. This is what we have to do."
City's next game is their Premier League season opener on Aug. 18 at Chelsea.
