Former Arsenal and Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna believes Nico Williams would fit in well under Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal finished second last season and they are one of the sides around Europe linked to Williams, the Athletic Club star who stood out at Euro 2024 this summer.
A move to Barcelona has been mooted, but the Premier League is an alternative destination.
Speaking to Paddy Power , Sagna thinks the Emirates would be a suitable destination.
“I would love to see Nico Williams at Arsenal,” he said.
“He represents the freshness at the club, he’s got the legs, he’s very good technically, he’s good in-between the lines and can find passes.
“He would fit Arsenal perfectly and if he comes to the Premier League, I would love to see him there.
“But, I believe he will go to Barcelona and he will be reunited [with] the devil on the right wing [Lamine Yamal] and both of them are amazing.
“They know each other and they’ve got a relationship already so I could see him going there.”
