William Gallas does not like Liverpool’s chances of finishing top four if Mohamed Salah leaves, but he does think Joao Felix could be a good signing for the Merseyside club.
The former Chelsea and Arsenal defender has been a keen observer on the Premier League’s three opening games and although Liverpool has enjoyed an excellent star, Gallas is keen to highlight Salah’s importance.
The Egyptian star has been the subject of intense transfer speculation linking him with a move to the Saudi Pro League, and Gallas believes that could be costly for Liverpool.
Salah has been Liverpool’s best attacker since signing for the club from Roma in 2017 and it’s hard to imagine this current Liverpool side without him.
Joao Felix could be a good move for Liverpool, because I feel the system of Liverpool is different to Chelsea,” said Gallas when speaking to Gambling Zone.
“How the clubs ask their players to play is not the same. It could be a good move for him, but I don’t see Salah leaving Liverpool.
“If Salah leaves Liverpool, they will be struggling to qualify for the top four because at the moment it looks like up front it is only him who can make a difference for them.”
