The Ukrainian is yet to find his best form.

Former Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo believes that winger Mykhaylo Mudryk is still an “average” player.

The Ukrainian wideman arrived to great fanfare last season from Shakhtar Donetsk but has since struggled to impress at Stamford Bridge.

However there have been more flashes of brilliance from the 22-year-old so far this season under current manager Mauricio Pochettino.

He has two goals to his name this season, though supporters will still be hoping for more from the player.

Di Matteo, who won the Champions League as manager of Chelsea in 2012, believes that unless Mudryk can be more consistently effective as a player, he should be considered average.

He told DAZN Bet: “World-class players have consistency, so if Mudryk can perform at a high level every week, then he'll be on his way to becoming a world-class footballer.

“He's shown glimpses of it, but he needs to produce those performances every game.

“That's the difference between an average player and a world-class one.''
