The Welsh side are already making progress.

Frank Sinclair has predicted that Wrexham can reach the Premier League - but it could take a decade to do so.

Wrexham’s new owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have overseen a transformation in the club’s fortunes but there is a way to go yet for the team that finds themselves in League Two for now.

Sinclair, a former Chelsea central defender, has suggested that the Hollywood duo can continue up the footballing pyramid with the Welsh side.

He told Stocklytics: “I wouldn’t be surprised if they got to the Premier League. I don’t think that it’s something they could do in the next 5-10 years, but if you give them a realistic time frame of within the next 10 years, you’d say it’s doable.

“Look how long it took Leicester City to get back to the Premier League after being relegated (in 2004), I think it took them 11 seasons to get back up. So, 10 years in football can go quite quickly.

Sinclair explained that the celebrity side of the things means that Wrexham can offer more to players than some Championship sides.

He continued: “I think they have a bigger pull. With the exposure that the football club is getting from the owners and the documentary, it’s going to be attractive to players and they’ll want to be a part of it.

“Obviously, the ambition of the football club would be a major facet to recruit top players as well.”
