Former Manchester City star thinks two current players should move to Saudi Pro League

Former Manchester City star thinks two current players should move to Saudi Pro LeagueDAZN

Bacary Sagna believes that Kevin De Bruyne and Ederson should both leave Manchester City and join Saudi Pro League sides.

Both the Belgian playmaker and the Brazilian goalkeeper appear ready to make the move for a big payday in the Middle East, and there is a suggestion that if the right offer comes in for either player, they will be allowed to move on.

Ederson is valued at around £45 million, but no suitable offer has come in yet and no confirmed move appears imminent.

However, speaking with Paddy Power, former Manchester City defender Sagna thinks the time is right to raise funds and rebuild at the Etihad.

He said: “Manchester City may need to bring younger players in – Kevin De Bruyne and Ederson are ageing, and they’ve won everything.

“They’ve been playing for City for a long time and they might want to have a change. If I was City, I’d give a chance to more young players – they have many who are waiting for their time to play and show how good they can be, such as Oscar Bobb.

“It could be a chance for Manchester City to bring in some fresh legs, and I personally think it could be good for De Bruyne and Ederson to move to Saudi Arabia.”
