Gordon Strachan has urged any Manchester United player who doesn't have the "right attitude" to "do us a favour and leave the club."
United are coming off their worst season of the Premier League era after having finished eighth in the standings in 2023-24. Additionally, they also suffered their worst performance in the Champions League with just four points from six matches in the group stage, putting them dead last in Group A.
The season's performance called Erik ten Hag's job security into question, but United ownership have backed the manager to lead them into the new campaign.
Strachan doesn't believe Ten Hag was the main issue with the side last season, instead taking aim at the players and the overall culture of the club over the past decade.
"If you look at what Manchester United has been like in the last ten years, it’s almost as if the club has become a place where players can pick up fantastic wages without winning anything," Strachan told topoffshorecasinos.com.
"Some players have joined without having the right attitude and desire, with some of these guys more concerned with having the club on their Instagram pages! That’s not the attitude that Manchester United was built on.
"If you’re going to do that, then you need to be shown the door. Do us a favour and leave the club."
