Marcus Rashford has struggled to find the back of the net this season for Manchester United, scoring just twice so far in the 2023-24 campaign.

Rashford's woes are mirrored in the team's overall play, as the Red Devils have slipped to sixth in the Premier League standings and crashed out of the Champions League by finishing bottom of their group.

As one of the longest-serving players on the United squad, Rashford's lack of production has been amplified by the team's poor results.

Long-time former United defender Wes Brown thinks Rashford still has what it takes to help the club and stressed patience as the 26-year-old works through his struggles.

"Marcus has been brilliant for us over the years that he's played but he has struggled a little bit this season with confidence and performances, but Marcus is Manchester United," Brown told OLBG

"He won't be happy with what's happening at the moment on the pitch and he'll want to get everything back to normal as soon as possible.

"A lot of people are very quick to write him off, he's still young, he's still talented and he has a lot to offer this team."

It was just last season that Rashford scored 30 goals in all competitions, and Brown has faith that the player can regain his form as long as he is prepared to put in the work.

"Last season, he was fantastic, as for this season, he's hit a bit of a rocky patch," Brown said. "He should just train hard, get back into the team and try to start performing again, scoring goals.

"He will absolutely come back from this, I think over the next few weeks, we will see a fresh and brand-new Marcus Rashford."
