Former Manchester United and Serbia winger Zoran Tosic is pleased for his country that Marcus Rashford will not be in the England line-up.
Rashord had a poor season under Erik ten Hag last campaign, and he has not been picked for the Euro 2024 tournament by national team manager Gareth Southgate.
Tosic, who currently plays for Lamia in Greece, made five appearances for Manchester United after his transfer in 2009, and earned 77 caps for Serbia.
Looking ahead to the opening group game for the two teams, Tosic told OLBG that he was happy to see Rashford out of the squad given his talent.
He said: “The problem with England is that they have so many options for attacking players, so many good wingers and strikers, so you need to leave somebody out.
“Marcus Rashford has been left out, but he's a player who can change the game with one move. I would like to see him in any England squad.
“I think even if he is not in the best mood and even if he doesn't have the best season, he has speed, he has fantastic finishing, fantastic cooperation with the teammates.
“There are not a lot of players like him, not even in England, in the world with that pace and that quality. So for us it's good that he is not in the squad.”
