One down, two to go.

Tim Sherwood says Erik ten Hag needs two more wins to save his job as Manchester United manager after the club eased to a 3-0 victory at Southampton on Saturday.

Sherwood identified United's first three fixtures coming out of the September international break as important to Ten Hag's job security, with the Red Devils next in action against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday before returning to Premier League play on Sept. 21 at Crystal Palace.

"Erik ten Hag could be in big trouble in a matter of weeks, but he can also see these fixtures as a chance to get three wins on the board and get confidence flowing," Sherwood told OLBG.

"Having said that, If they don't win all three of these games, I think the pressure will start ramping up towards that October international break."
