Bacary Sagna thinks Erik ten Hag should be given more time at Manchester United.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City defender backs Ten Hag to "rebuild" the club and said he sees signs that the Red Devils' manager's philosophies are starting to take hold.
Sagna's support for Ten Hag comes amid reports that Man United prefer England boss Gareth Southgate in the role after this summer's European Championship.
“Erik ten Hag deserves the time to rebuild Manchester United because we’ve seen the evolution since he arrived until now," Sagna said while speaking to Paddy Power.
"The players perfectly understand his demands and I think at the beginning, some of them were shocked with his discipline and how he implemented it in the squad.
"You can’t come in and change the whole philosophy of the club. You need to give your ideas and the fans and players need to buy in to the ideas and that doesn’t happen overnight.
"I hope ten Hag will be given time at Manchester United.”
