Clinton Morrison does not see an upside for Chelsea in regards to their handling of Raheem Sterling.
The Blues sent Sterling on loan to Arsenal after Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca publicly declared that the England international had no place in the first team. It put an end to a saga that dominated headlines in the final days of the summer transfer window, and Morrison believes Arsenal are big winners in the ordeal while Chelsea could end up regretting the move.
"In my eyes, Arsenal are definitely winning in that deal, Morrison told 10bet. "I can only see the positives for Arsenal there; it does feel like this is a deal that could leave Chelsea with egg on their face.
"It's a win-win situation for Arsenal. They get Raheem Sterling, a player who's won so much in the game and has so much experience, on loan and they are paying a fraction of his wages.
"He comes into a title challenging squad and adds more quality - he will want to help his new club challenge his old ones in Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League. It’s great business."
