The Scots have a tough test to start Euro 2024.

The 2024 European Championships are here, and the tournament starts with a bang as hosts Germany take on Scotland in Munich.

Steve Clarke's side stunned Spain and Norway in qualifying, and now have a chance to cause an upset at the tournament itself against strongly-fancied Germany.

Germany have a track record of starting tournaments slowly, but manager Julian Nagelsman will look to put that record straight in his first major tournament game in charge of Die Mannschaft.

Speaking on BBC Radio Scotland ahead of kick-off, former Scotland international Leanne Crichton said a draw is the "best case scenario" for Clarke's side.

"The players must be feeling that excitement, that anticipation, that buzz. Everybody is ready to go," said Crichton.

"Historically, the big guns start the tournaments slow. There's been a number of early shocks.

"I don't think it's unrealistic tonight, but it's up to Scotland and how quickly they can find their composure.

"A draw would be best case scenario. I've got real optimism about games two and three."
