The Manchester United player has been ruled out.

England's quest for Euro 2024 glory continues on Thursday, as Gareth Southgate's side face Denmark.

The game is England's second in this summer's tournament, having beaten Serbia 1-0 in their opening match on Sunday.

Denmark will likely prove to be England's biggest threat to topping Group C, with Christian Eriksen and Co. hoping to pull off a shock tomorrow.

And Denmark will not have to worry about England's first-choice left-back Luke Shaw, who Southgate confirmed on Wednesday will not feature against the Danes.

Speaking at their Euro 2024 press conference, Southgate told the media: "Luke won’t be involved tomorrow, he’s on track for what we thought originally.

"He needs a bit more work. There are days when he needs to do more than the rest and needs to recover.

"He’s still in and out with the others and operating on his own programme as well."

In Shaw's absense, Kieran Trippier - usually a right-sided player - is expected to fill the position.

England finish the group stage of the competition against Slovenia.
