Germany can change the narrative on a disappointing set of international friendlies as they host Colombia on Tuesday.
The Germans are the hosts of Euro 2024 and thus do not need to go through the current qualifying tournament, allowing them to spend the year playing a variety of different teams in exhibition matches as they build towards next year's competition on home soil. Things got off on the right foot when Germany defeated Peru 2-0 in March, but since that match the team has recorded two losses and a draw.
Meanwhile, the Colombians have gone undefeated so far in 2023 as they prepare for South America's marathon World Cup qualification tournament to commence in September. They head to Gelsenkirchen having won their last two matches, most recently defeating Iraq 1-0 last week.
