Another international break means more friendlies for Germany, as the Euro 2024 hosts continue to prepare for next year's tournament with a series of games against varied opposition.
Things have not gone according to plan for the Germans, who enter Saturday's friendly against Japan on a four-game winless streak. Three of those four matches were losses, including back-to-back defeats to Poland and Colombia in June.
Head coach Hansi Flick is tasked with transitioning the team into a newer generation, but the poor results so far could be a cause for concern.
Next up for the Germans is Saturday's test against Japan, who head into the match on the back of two victories in June against El Salvador and Peru.
In addition to recent form, the Japanese can boast a victory from the last meeting between these two sides, as they defeated the Germans 2-1 in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup.
Here's how you can watch Germany vs. Japan.
