Harry Kane is set to be sidelined for the near future after Bayern Munich confirmed the England captain had torn a muscle in his thigh.
The striker was substituted shortly after the half-hour mark in the Bundesliga leaders' 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park.
Kane has been in excellent form for the club this term, with 20 goals in 19 games across all competitions so far, including 14 in the top flight.

His absence is a blow to Vincent Kompany's side ahead of a hectic December schedule which will see them bid to consolidate their lead at the summit.
"Harry Kane suffered a small muscle fibre tear in his right thigh during yesterday’s match against Borussia Dortmund," the club stated on X.
"After an examination by our medical department, Kane will be sidelined for the time being. Get well soon, Harry!"

Kane moved to Germany at the start of the 2023-24 season from Tottenham Hotspur, and flourished even as his new team floundered.
Though he won the European Golden Shoe for his efforts, Bayern ended the season third under Thomas Tuchel in a shock reversal of their usual dominance.
This term, they have lost just twice across all competitions, suffering a shock 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League before a 4-1 reverse against Barcelona.
Kane also led England to a second successive European Championship final at Euro 2024 in Germany, though he was unable to end his infamous silverware hoodoo.
