Gareth Southgate has tough choices ahead of the tournament.

Euro 2024 is merely weeks away, and fans and pundits alike will be predicting what England’s starting XI will be for their opening game against Serbia.

Gareth Southgate has an array of options open to him, especially in the attacking areas, where there are questions to answer on where is the best position for both Jude Bellingham and Foden.

Talking to BetVictor, former Premier League boss Redknapp thinks that Bellingham should drop deep, and let the Premier League’s Player of the Year float in the number 10 spot behind Harry Kane.

"I’d play Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice in midfield. I would play Phil Foden in behind Harry Kane and go for it," Redknapp said.

“Foden is a fantastic talent, he’s been amazing this season – the goals he’s scored and the goals he’s made. I don’t like him out wide – I see him as a number 10.

“I don’t think we need too many defensive midfield players when you’ve got that many good attacking options. I’d like to see us take it to the opposition and have a real go in Germany, because the opposition isn’t great

“I don’t see anything that should scare England. I’d want them to be on the front foot.”
