The Premier League is back.

Former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp gives his Premier League predictions exclusively to BetVictor, singling out Bukayo Saka to step up in the absence of Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard in this weekend's North London Derby.

Tottenham 2-2 Arsenal

I can’t wait for this one, year on year, this game delivers some classics. I had some memorable games against Arsenal in my time as Tottenham boss, I loved this derby. Spurs need a lift, a big result to kickstart the season and get the fans going. It’s been an okay start to the season but probably not what they would have wanted.

For Arsenal, how will they cope without Martin Odegaard? Mikel Arteta was probably watching the international break from behind the sofa, and it looks like he’s gone and lost his captain for a while. Obviously, there’s no Declan Rice in this as well, this becomes a real test for his side.

I can see goals and a lot of drama. If Odegaard is out, which it looks like he will be, it’s hard for me to predict an Arsenal win. 2-2.

One to watch - Bukayo Saka was protected in the two England games and arrives here bang in form. There’s even more responsibility on the young man’s shoulders to deliver, but he always does!

Southampton 1-2 Manchester United

This will be a real test of how good this Manchester United side are. Southampton have obviously made a poor start to the season; they need a good result to give the side a lift. I’ve been in this situation with promoted sides, you don’t really settle until you get your first win.

As for United, this feels massive for them and Erik ten Hag. I actually don’t think they were that bad against Liverpool, but some of the self-inflicted mistakes were poor. I don’t see much improvement from them from a defensive viewpoint.

A loss here would be a disaster for Ten Hag, even a draw would get people talking. I think they’ll just have too much quality here though, 2-1 Man Utd.

One to watch - Big players deliver in big moments, United need Bruno Fernandes to step up in this one.

Bournemouth 2-2 Chelsea

Bournemouth are undefeated from three and they were unlucky not to beat Newcastle after that VAR decision. Clearly there’s some real confidence and belief in this side, you don’t come back like they did against Everton without that. They’ll be up for this.

This is a test for Chelsea. They looked incredible in that rout against Wolves but were pretty ordinary against Crystal Palace, what Chelsea will we see in this one?

I’ve seen them enough times in the flesh to know that Bournemouth will give every side a game at home. They’ll concede chances but they’ll create plenty as well. I can see a thriller. 2-2.

One to watch - Luis Sinisterra changed the game when he came on at Goodison Park, he might get the nod from the start here.

Liverpool 3-0 Nottingham Forest

The season couldn’t have started much better for Arne Slot. Three games, three wins and three clean sheets. Premier League management is easy! They seem to be very organised right now and there’s a few of these players that are playing out of their skin.

Nottingham Forest have picked up a couple of draws and seem to be a more organised side than last season. They’ve had quite an easy start though, we’ll learn a lot about this side over the next few weeks, starting here.

I can only see one winner in this one. 3-0 Liverpool and another clean sheet.

One to watch - Mohamed Salah is back to his best but I’ve got to say a word about Ryan Gravenberch, he has been brilliant. He’s made that position his own.

Manchester City 3-0 Brentford

Manchester City look in such good form this season. I know it’s stating the obvious but my word, Erling Haaland looks unstoppable right now. He’s so sharp, so determined to get on the scoresheet. It will take a lot for a team to stop them this season.

Brentford have made a good start to the season themselves. As good as Ivan Toney has been, I don’t actually think they’ll miss him a great deal. Thomas Frank is such a top coach and with Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, they’ve got two forwards who will cause any side problems.

They might have the odd moment on the break, but City are just too strong for most teams in the country in this form.

One to watch - City have been this dominant and Rodri hasn’t even kicked a ball so far, scary! He was on the bench against West Ham and could well make his return here.

Aston Villa 2-0 Everton

It’s been a good start to the season for Aston Villa. Two wins from three and that defeat to Arsenal was a little unlucky. They’ve got their Champions League return looming during the week and would love to go into it with a win in this one.

I cannot believe Everton blew that game against Bournemouth. I’ve lost some heartbreaking games in my time but that would be right up there, how do you lose a game from that position? One positive is at least that the players have been away on international break and that might take their minds off that game.

I can only see a home win, 2-0.

One to watch - Morgan Rogers has really caught the eye this season, what a player he looks. He could run the show here.

Wolves 1-2 Newcastle

This is a tough one to predict. I worry for Wolves this season; they seem to be a little out of sorts. They looked dangerous going forward against Chelsea a couple of weeks back but defensively, they have problems. Losing Max Kilman to West Ham was a real blow to this side.

I’m not quite sure how they beat Spurs but talk about a massive win! I don’t think Newcastle have been anywhere near their best, but that’s seven points from nine and an ideal start for them.

Newcastle have been uncharacteristically shaky at the back but with the attacking quality they have, I still think they’ll edge this.

One to watch - Alexander Isak has started this season in top form and found the net for his country during the break. He could well prove too much for what looks a vulnerable Wolves defence.

Brighton 3-1 Ipswich

What a great point that was for Brighton against Arsenal, even if they did benefit from that crazy red card decision! It’s been a fantastic start to the season for them and for the new manager Fabian Hurzeler.

Ipswich got a decent point against Fulham, that should settle them down. They were given a couple of horrible fixtures to start the season, but I think we’ll see an improvement from them in recent weeks. Kieran McKenna chose to stay at Ipswich after being linked to Brighton during the summer, he’ll want to impress here!

I can see Ipswich maybe grabbing a goal but Brighton have some brilliant attacking options. 3-1.

One to watch - Joao Pedro featured for Brazil during the week, it’s never easy to do all that flying and come back in top form. By the way, a Brighton player playing for Brazil, that would have been unthinkable a decade or two ago!

Fulham 1-1 West Ham

I like the business Fulham did in the transfer window. They signed a couple of Arsenal players that lost their way but have real talent in Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson. Losing Joao Palhinha was a real blow, but I still fancy them to have a decent season.

West Ham signed a lot of players as well but haven’t really got going this season. Playing Manchester City is never easy, but they didn’t really lay a glove on them and to be honest, it could have been more.

There’s really not much between these two. 1-1.

One to watch - I think Emile Smith Rowe will be back in the England squad by the end of the season. He is a real talent and has fantastic end product.

Crystal Palace 2-0 Leicester

That was a great point for Crystal Palace away at Chelsea. There was so much uncertainty surrounding the club with transfers and what not, but they should be in a better place now. Win this, and it’s a decent start to the season.

I worry for Leicester. Aside from Jamie Vardy, where do the goals come from this season? They need a win soon.

I can only see Palace here. 2-0.

One to watch - With Michael Olise gone, there’s even more responsibility on Ebere Eze’s shoulders. He was superb last week, got his goal and can get another here.
